Engineering & quality

Documentation that
follows the detail.

We describe capability through the work that keeps a bearing package coordinated: clear inputs, controlled fabrication, inspection records, protective systems and a disciplined handover route.

Design support

Review of approved bearing schedules, movement functions, support dimensions and document requirements.

Quality planning

Inspection points, material identification, dimensional checks and release records structured around the project.

Factory coordination

Fabrication sequence, packing information and marked assemblies aligned with the approved drawing set.

How we work

The engineering route
is deliberate.

For bridge bearings, an apparently small mismatch in support function, guide direction or installation datum can create unnecessary site risk. The working sequence is designed to make those decisions visible early.

01

Design input review

We begin with the engineer’s bearing schedule, reaction envelope, movement directions, rotation demand, support geometry and performance criteria. The goal is to turn approved project data into a clear, reviewable manufacturing package.

02

Controlled fabrication

Material identification, machining interfaces, assembly sequence and dimensional checks are coordinated to the approved drawings and inspection plan. Project documentation is prepared around the actual product function rather than generic claims.

03

Inspection & traceability

Each package can be supported by project-defined material records, dimensional inspection points, coating checks, part marking and release documentation. The exact scope is aligned with the client’s approved quality requirements.

Quality-control framework

A quality plan should trace
from material to release.

The exact test and inspection scope is defined by the contract documents and approved project requirements. This framework shows the control points a complete bearing package may need to address.

01

Material control

Review material certificates, specifications and identification before release to production.

02

In-process checks

Verify machining, fit-up, guide orientation and critical dimensions at controlled hold points.

03

Surface protection

Coordinate preparation, coating system, handling protection and repair procedures to the exposure class.

04

Final release

Complete marking, inspection records, packing checks and project-specific handover documents.

Materials, coatings & testing

The product is only as dependable as its interfaces.

Bearing performance depends on the coordinated selection and protection of elastomer, steel, sliding surfaces, fastening, coatings and installation controls. The project specification governs the final selection and testing requirements.

Ask for the documentation that matches your package.

Factory capability is most useful when evaluated against your actual product type, size range, inspection plan, coating requirement, packing method and delivery schedule. Contact Andy for a project-specific discussion.
